# Currenxie Guide

The Hong Kong Global Account — local bank details in GBP, EUR, USD and HKD for payouts, outgoing payments to suppliers, and the Currenxie Visa card.

{% hint style="info" %}
**What Currenxie is for you.** A Hong Kong business account with local bank account numbers in several countries: payouts in GBP, EUR, USD or HKD land in one wallet, you pay suppliers from it, and the Currenxie Visa card pays for subscriptions.
{% endhint %}

## Before you start

* **Proxy.** One [OctoBrowser](https://octobrowser.org/signup/?p=10266582) profile for Currenxie, residential proxy in the **nominee's** country ([IPRoyal](https://iproyal.com/?r=basiq_setup)). Never through the proxy you use for PayPal or Shopify.
* **Your details.** Right after delivery, set up app-based 2FA and move the SMS phone number and login email to yours ([section 5](#5-your-details-and-security)).

## 1. Bank account numbers

A Currenxie Global Account gives you local bank account numbers in several countries; everything that arrives is consolidated into one balance per currency, which you can convert or send on.

| Receive locally in | Currency | Use it for |
| -------------------------------- | ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| United Kingdom | GBP, EUR | Shopify Payments (UK store), Stripe GBP payouts |
| Eurozone | EUR | Stripe EUR payouts, EU marketplaces |
| United States | USD | Stripe USD payouts, US marketplaces |
| Hong Kong | HKD | Hong Kong PayPal withdrawals, local HK payments |
| Japan, Australia, Canada, Mexico | JPY, AUD, CAD, MXN | Marketplaces in those countries |

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Accounts → request a bank account number

Available once the Global Account is activated. Request one per currency you need; each comes with its full set of receiving details.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Open the account → copy or download the details

Each account has a PDF of its details and an **account confirmation letter** (⋯ next to the account → details). Share the letter with a platform that asks for proof of the bank account.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Enter them in the platform in the matching currency

UK details for GBP payouts (account number + sort code, IBAN), Eurozone details for EUR (IBAN + BIC), US details for USD (account + ACH routing number). Account holder = your company name.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

SWIFT payments from 100+ countries also arrive on the UK multi-currency details in 24 currencies (AED, AUD, CAD, CHF, CNH, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, HUF, ILS, JPY, MXN, NOK, NZD, PLN, RON, SAR, SEK, SGD, THB, USD, ZAR). Cash and cheques are not accepted.

## 2. Payment verification

After the first payouts from a marketplace or a payment platform, Currenxie shows an **Action required** item: *Submit additional details to continue using your account with …*. It asks for proof that the paying account belongs to your company — for example a statement of the platform's account showing the company's full name and the complete account number. Prepare it with your manager before uploading; the pack is the same as for the [WorldFirst check](/guide/guides/banks/worldfirst.md): store backend, platform account page, payouts, order details.

## 3. Pay your supplier

* **Local rails** to the US (USD), Eurozone (EUR), UK (GBP), Hong Kong (HKD), China (CNH), Indonesia, Australia, Canada, Mexico, India, Thailand, Vietnam, South Africa, the Philippines and Malaysia; **SWIFT** to Japan, the UAE and Israel.
* In the EU, **Verification of Payee** checks the beneficiary name against the account before the payment goes out: if Currenxie warns of a mismatch, do not send — confirm the exact account name with the supplier first.
* Transfers on weekends and public holidays wait for the next working day; FX follows Currenxie's trading hours.
* Pay from the company account only, never from the nominee company straight to your personal bank ([Step 7 → Payouts](/guide/setup-steps/step-7-credentials.md)).

## 4. Currenxie Visa card

* The card holds no money of its own: your Global Account balance is the ceiling, and the **spending limit** you set reserves that amount in the wallet to settle the statement automatically at the end of each month. Lower the limit to free the funds.
* Activate the card and set the PIN in the dashboard; add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay; card details and statements are in the Cards section. Multi-card lets you issue cards to team members.
* Use it for the company's subscriptions — Shopify, OctoBrowser, proxies, ads — one card per store where a platform matches card details.

## 5. Your details and security

| What                       | How                                                                                                                                             |
| -------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Phone number for SMS codes | With app-based 2FA already active: change it in the web dashboard. Without app 2FA: only Currenxie support can change it — set up app 2FA first |
| Login email | Changed from the dashboard (Currenxie help: "How do I change my log in email") |
| Second user | A Global Account can have more than one user — add your own instead of sharing the nominee login |
| SMS code not arriving | Check the number in [Krispcall](https://try.krispcall.com/d0ye9ovwwn8s), wait, retry; then your manager |

## 6. If something goes wrong

| Situation                                                                               | What to do                                                                                           |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| "Action required" after a payout | Section 2 — prepare the pack with your manager, then upload |
| A platform rejects the account because the letter says "Currenxie Technologies Limited" | Contact your manager — we send the platform Currenxie's explanation of the account structure |
| Login fails or extra verification | Wrong proxy. Use the Currenxie profile with the nominee-country residential proxy |
| A payment to a supplier was returned | Check the beneficiary name and account (VoP mismatch); update the beneficiary details and send again |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.basiq-solutions.com/guide/guides/banks/currenxie.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
