# WorldFirst Guide

Your UK company's bank — create receiving accounts for Shopify Payments and Stripe, pass WorldFirst's payment check, pay your supplier and get a World Card.

{% hint style="info" %}
**What WorldFirst is for you.** It is the bank account of your UK LTD. Shopify Payments and Stripe send your payouts here, you pay your supplier from here, and the World Card pays for your subscriptions. Everything in this guide happens inside your WorldFirst account at worldfirst.com or in the WorldFirst app.
{% endhint %}

## Before you start

* **Proxy.** Open WorldFirst only through its [OctoBrowser](https://octobrowser.org/signup/?p=10266582) profile with a residential proxy in the **nominee's** country ([Step 3](/guide/setup-steps/step-3-proxy.md)). If the login fails on a residential proxy, use your mobile proxy ([a-socks](https://asocks.com/c/5eB0tn)) instead. Never log in from a regular browser.
* **Your details.** Right after delivery, change the phone number and email on the account to yours ([Step 7](/guide/setup-steps/step-7-credentials.md)). Use the company's dedicated number — never your personal one.
* **Payouts.** WorldFirst receives payouts; it does not need any "manual payout" setting. Those settings live in Stripe (manual) and Shopify Payments (daily).

## 1. Create a receiving account

A receiving account is a set of bank details in your company's name: account number, sort code or IBAN, bank name. You give these details to the payment platform, and its payouts land in your WorldFirst balance in that currency.

Open **one receiving account per platform**. WorldFirst allows up to 20 per currency, so there is no reason to share one account between two stores or two platforms.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Shopify Payments checks bank details across all stores.** Every new store or new Shopify Payments account gets its own receiving account that was never used in Shopify before. Reused details mean a rejected activation or a manual review ([Shopify Payments guide, section 2.4](/guide/guides/shopify-payments-warm-up.md)).
{% endhint %}

### Which account to open

| For                           | Currency                                             | Account location                | Platform                     | Bank                                                                          |
| ----------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------- | ---------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Shopify Payments** (UK LTD) | GBP | United Kingdom, single-currency | E-commerce / Shopify payment | Barclays Bank (the option offered) |
| **Stripe** | EUR | Netherlands (recommended) | E-commerce / Stripe | Citi Bank or WorldFirst — either; it changes nothing in how the account works |
| Another platform | Ask your manager which currency and location to open | | | |

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Open the form

On the Home page, under **Shortcuts**, click **+ Create new Receiving Acc.**

![WorldFirst home page — Shortcuts → Create new Receiving Acc.](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FdT8GH582QS27DzDLQ4LZ%2Fwf-01-dashboard-create-receiving.png?alt=media)

The same form opens from **Collections → Manage accounts → + Add a new Receiving Account**. Use whichever is easier to find.

![Collections → Manage accounts](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FgfW8VJJuF1d3m5Nu5P1Z%2Fworldfirst-collections-manage-accounts.png?alt=media)

![Receiving Accounts → Add a new Receiving Account](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2Fsr0BNQ8XAOP9pNBNhXyI%2Fworldfirst-add-receiving-account.webp?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### For Shopify Payments: fill it in as a GBP account

* **Currency:** GBP
* **Preferred account:** Single-currency — account location United Kingdom. The payer pays locally, the money arrives faster, no intermediary bank charges
* **Account usage:** Platform Collection
* **Platform:** E-commerce / Shopify payment
* **Bank:** Barclays Bank

![GBP receiving account for Shopify Payments](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2F2KV8kBL0aVvMfkG8yzB6%2Fwf-02-create-gbp-shopify.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### For Stripe: fill it in as a EUR account

* **Currency:** EUR
* **Account location:** Netherlands (recommended); Germany is also offered
* **Account usage:** Platform Collection
* **Platform:** E-commerce / Stripe
* **Bank:** Citi Bank or WorldFirst — pick either. It does not affect what the account can do

![EUR receiving account for Stripe](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FKYG5HYdcoKBFLPsHlrLp%2Fwf-03-create-eur-stripe.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Give it a nickname and confirm

Name the account after the platform and the store, for example `Shopify – yourstore.com` or `Stripe – yourstore.com`. You will have several accounts later; the nickname is how you tell them apart. Click **Confirm**. The account is ready immediately.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Copy the account details

Go to **Collections → Manage accounts** and click **Details** on the new account. **Copy all account details** copies everything in one go. **Download proof of account** gives you a PDF letter with the same details — some platforms ask for it.

![Manage accounts → Details](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2F4kSCjP046veVSIC0yT0v%2Fworldfirst-details-button.webp?alt=media)

![Account details → Copy all account details / Download proof of account](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FzRsZnzhSJmW06xRnjWYw%2Fworldfirst-account-details.webp?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Paste them into the payment platform

* **Shopify Payments:** Settings → Payments → Shopify Payments → Manage → bank account for payouts
* **Stripe:** Settings → Bank accounts and currencies → the payout bank account

Enter the details exactly as copied; the account holder is your company name. From then on the payouts arrive in WorldFirst — Shopify Payments daily, Stripe when you request them.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## 2. Payment verification

After the first payouts, WorldFirst can hold a payment and ask where the money came from. This is a routine check of the whole account, not a problem with it: WorldFirst wants to see that the money comes from your store. It usually happens on the first few transfers. Once you have passed it, later payouts land without questions.

### How you find out

You get an email with the subject **ACTION REQUIRED | We need to verify a payment you received**, and the payment shows **Awaiting verification** in Collections and **Under review** in Activity.

![Email subject: ACTION REQUIRED — We need to verify a payment you received](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FjYSXAkj63Vsbh7yX47pc%2Fwf-04-email-subject.png?alt=media)

{% hint style="info" %}
**Prepare the screenshots before you click Verify.** The form asks for all of them at once. Everything below comes from your Shopify admin; take full-screen screenshots, not crops.
{% endhint %}

### What to prepare

| Material | Where to get it | Must be visible |
| ------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Shop background screenshot** | Shopify Admin → Settings → General | Store name, URL, business details — the full screen |
| **Shopify Payments screenshot** | Settings → Payments → Shopify Payments | Shopify Payments is active and linked to this store |
| **Store sales records** | Orders → Export, for the period of the payment | Order number, date, amount, tracking number |
| **Fund settlement record** | Shopify Payments → Payouts | The payout from Shopify Payments to WorldFirst (amount, date, status Paid) |
| **Order details + logistics** | 2–3 orders, preferably different dates | Order number, amount, product, tracking number |
| **Third-party payment platform background** | Shopify Payments account page | Platform name (Shopify Payments), account owner name, connection to the store |

The payouts screenshot from Shopify Payments works for both "statements" and "store background binding". What matters most: a full-screen screenshot of the store backend, the sales records and the order details.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Open the payment and click Verify

**Collections → Funds received** → the payment marked *Awaiting verification* → **Verify**. The *Login Now* button in the email leads to the same place.

![Collections → Funds received → Verify](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FgfW8VJJuF1d3m5Nu5P1Z%2Fworldfirst-collections-manage-accounts.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Funding source → Yes

WorldFirst asks whether the money comes from a third-party payment platform such as PayPal, Stripe or Shopify Payments. Select **Yes** and click **Next**.

![Funding source → Yes](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2F7WhKMxCJN19RpbQd5Ufn%2Fwf-06-verify-source.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Where are your funds coming from → Online marketplaces

![Where are your funds coming from → Online marketplaces](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FblXlnMDdx4aPPKnm6Oa5%2Fwf-07-verify-origin.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Fill in the form and upload the materials

**Third-party payment gateway name:** `shopify payments` (for a Stripe payout: `stripe`).\
**The actual link of the store:** your store URL.

Then upload the files from the checklist into the matching fields:

* **Shop background full screen screenshot** → the Settings → General screenshot + the Shopify Payments screenshot
* **Store sales records** → the orders export
* **Fund settlement record** → the payouts screenshot
* **Order details page and logistics** → the 2–3 order screenshots
* **Statements from third-party payment platforms / banks** → the payouts screenshot works here too
* **Store background binding third-party payment platform** → the payouts screenshot works here too
* **Screenshot of third-party payment / collection platform background** → the Shopify Payments account page

![The verification form, part 1 — gateway name, store link, first uploads](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FB9DZVsaGInOrPtxKT4qV%2Fwf-08-upload-part1.png?alt=media)

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Submit and wait

The payment shows *Under review*, then *Document under review*. When WorldFirst approves it, the money is added to your balance and the payment moves to History as *Funds in*.

![Payment detail: verification needed, document under review, funds in](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FExFjXW7mhEmz0JvX3FW0%2Fwf-12-payment-detail.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**After the check.** WorldFirst can run it on a few transfers; after that payouts land without questions. If it still asks for documents after several successful reviews, write to `clients@service.worldfirst.com` or open the live chat inside your WorldFirst account.
{% endhint %}

<details>

<summary>If the held payout came from Stripe</summary>

The flow is the same. Choose `stripe` as the gateway name and use Stripe Dashboard screenshots instead of Shopify: Balance → Payouts for the settlement record, Payments for the order details, and the account page from Settings for the platform background. The payment in Activity shows as *From Stripe Payments UK Ltd*.

</details>

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Any other request from WorldFirst** — documents about the company or the director, a "collection account" for your store, a video call — contact your manager before replying. See [Help Center → Reviews, holds & restrictions](/help-center/troubleshooting/reviews-holds-restrictions.md).
{% endhint %}

## 3. Pay your supplier

Money leaves WorldFirst only to a saved payee. Add your supplier once, then pay them as often as you need.

### Add one supplier

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Payees → Add a new payee

![Payees → Add a new payee](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2Flf6Ksj1rImeQ8upS1Uqv%2Fworldfirst-payees-page.webp?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Choose "Add a single payee"

One supplier → single payee. A whole list of suppliers → multiple payees (see below).

![Add a single payee or Add multiple payees](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FLqPgx2R6hTwoo4kX4uJ0%2Fworldfirst-add-payee-options.webp?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Enter the supplier's details

Account type (company or individual), the country of the receiving bank, the currency and the payee category — then the bank details exactly as written on the supplier's invoice. Copy them, do not retype: a typo in the account number or SWIFT code returns the payment days later.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Save and pay

WorldFirst checks the details for a few minutes. Then **Payments → Make a payment**, choose the payee, the amount and the currency, and confirm.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

<details>

<summary>Many suppliers at once (Excel upload)</summary>

1. **Payees → Add a new payee → Add multiple payees**
2. Select the account type, then the country of the receiving bank, the receiving currency and the payee category
3. **Download the template**, fill it in and upload it. Fill in only the rows under the header; do not change the header row

![Download template → upload the completed file](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FXddKOnNPIfOtgS6Ia4A5%2Fworldfirst-upload-template.webp?alt=media)

4. Review the information and click **Add payee**. Wait a few minutes for the results
5. Check the results in **Payees**. Successful payees appear on the Payee management page. Failed or still-processing ones are under **Pending payees** with the status or the reason

![Pending payees — status and reason for each row](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FG2zxcdDMM6ZmCasJwwFD%2Fworldfirst-pending-payees.webp?alt=media)

If the upload fails, click **View error details**, fix the rows it names and upload the file again.

</details>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Pay suppliers from the company account only. Never send money from the nominee company straight to your personal bank ([Step 7 → Payouts](/guide/setup-steps/step-7-credentials.md)).
{% endhint %}

## 4. World Card

World Card is a card tied to your WorldFirst balance. Use it for the company's subscriptions: Shopify, OctoBrowser, proxies, ad accounts. Basiq does not provide virtual cards — this is the card you use instead.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Open World Card in the left menu

![Left menu → World Card](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FR67JrboaesULDOSDPkIo%2Fwf-13-world-card-menu.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Accept the terms

Click **I agree and apply** (Terms and Conditions), then **Apply now**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Name the card

Enter a nickname, for example `Subscriptions`, and click **Apply**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Choose the cardholder

The account owner, or another verified director. For a nominee company the account owner is the nominee — that is expected; it is a company card.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Wait for issuance

WorldFirst runs a risk check before issuing the card. Then open **My World Card** to see the card details, set limits or freeze it. Need another card? **My World Card → Apply for a new card**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Requirements.** Keep at least **USD 100** (or the equivalent) in your WorldFirst account. Card issuance is subject to WorldFirst's risk assessment. To open a 6th card, the account must have received USD 5,000 or the equivalent in the past 90 days.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.basiq-solutions.com/guide/guides/banks/worldfirst.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
