# IPRoyal (residential for banks & Wise, mobile for Stripe backup)

Residential proxies for Wise and the banks GonzoProxy does not open; dedicated mobile proxies when a-socks has no plan in the nominee's country.

**Use for:** Wise, WorldFirst, Airwallex, Currenxie and Mercury (residential, the right country), any service that refuses to load on a GonzoProxy IP, and — as a mobile proxy — Stripe when [a-socks](/guide/guides/proxy-guide/a-socks.md) has no plan in the nominee's country. Same rules as any proxy: one proxy per service, location from the [proxy table](/guide/guides/proxy-guide.md).

| Service                                                   | IPRoyal product    | Location                                                                |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| WorldFirst, Airwallex, Wise, Currenxie                    | Residential        | Nominee's country                                                       |
| Mercury                                                   | Residential        | United States                                                           |
| Any service that refuses to load on GonzoProxy | Residential | The same country as before — never change the country of a live account |
| Stripe, when a-socks has no plan in the nominee's country | Mobile (dedicated) | Nominee's country |

## Residential

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Residential → + Create a new order

Enter the **Number of GB** (2 GB ≈ a month for one service), choose *pay-as-you-go* (the subscription option re-buys the same amount every month) → **Buy now** → payment method → Complete order.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Proxy access: set the location and the session

* **Country/Region** — the nominee's country, for every bank and for Wise (United States for Mercury)
* **City/State, ISP** — leave *Random*. ISP targeting needs a verified ID and $1,000 of spend — not for you
* **Rotation** — **Sticky** with the longest lifetime (up to 7 days). *Randomize IP* changes the IP on every request — never for accounts
* **High-end pool, Skip ISP static** — leave on
* **Host and port** — `geo.iproyal.com` : `12321`, the same for every proxy; your settings travel inside the password (`…_country-xx_session-ab12cd34_lifetime-7d`, where `xx` is the country code)

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Formatted proxy list → copy

Pick the format `HOST:PORT:USER:PASS`, quantity 1, **Copy**. Paste it into the OctoBrowser profile as `socks5://host:port:user:pass` and run the IP check at cip.su ([Proxy Guide](/guide/guides/proxy-guide.md)).

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Keep the same session string

The 8-character session id in the password is what keeps your IP. Reuse the same string for the same account; generate a new one only when the IP stops working — same country, so the account is not affected.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Switching provider for a service you already use? Keep the **same location**. A new IP in the same country does not affect the account; a new country does.
{% endhint %}

## Mobile — backup for Stripe

A dedicated mobile proxy is yours alone, with unlimited traffic, bought per day plan. Carriers: T-Mobile (US), Vodafone (UK, NL, DE), Telia and Bitė (LT); 5G/4G/3G.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Mobile → + Create a new order

**Plan** = how many days the proxy stays active (1 to 90; in IPRoyal's example 30 days cost $90). **Proxy location** = the nominee's country. Buy now → pay.

![IPRoyal — Mobile order: plan, location, summary](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2FeBd4zV81lnPZdEsjk8kS%2Fiproyal-mobile-order.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### My Orders → Details → Proxy details

The Proxy access box lists the host (for example `gb.4g.iproyal.com`), the **HTTPS port** (7001 in the example) and the **SOCKS5 port** (3008), the username and the password — copy them into the Stripe-only OctoBrowser profile.

![IPRoyal — Mobile proxy details: proxy access, Rotate IP, auto-rotating](https://1489073001-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FMi3FIHpdc5cNtmqjAPOo%2Fuploads%2Fk986khOYOJ3AGV3k3XDo%2Fiproyal-mobile-proxy-details.png?alt=media)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Turn auto-rotating off

Stripe wants one stable IP. Keep **Enable auto-rotating** off; press **Rotate IP** only when a page stops loading, then restart the profile. A new IP can take up to 30 minutes to arrive — the carrier decides.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Extend before the plan ends

Order details → Subscription. An expired proxy means a new IP and a new login from an unknown address — extend a few days early.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
IPRoyal recommends HTTP over SOCKS5 when the software supports both — problems get resolved faster. In OctoBrowser either works; if SOCKS5 misbehaves, switch the profile to `http://user:pass@host:7001`.
{% endhint %}

## If something goes wrong

| Problem                                            | What to do                                                                                                                   |
| -------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Residential proxy stopped working | Generate a new session string (same country), replace it in the profile, restart |
| Mobile: Rotate IP did nothing | Carriers can take up to 30 minutes to assign a new IP. Wait; if it stalls completely IPRoyal's system fixes it automatically |
| Mobile: the IP changed by itself | Carriers rotate IPs on their own schedule. Normal — the country is unchanged, the account is fine |
| Mobile: the IP shows another region of the country | Normal for mobile networks; no platform flags it |
| Mobile proxy slow or down | IPRoyal detects outages automatically; if yours is not fixed within the day, write to their support |
| Heavy use | Stay far below 30 GB per day per proxy — above that carriers restrict the SIM |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.basiq-solutions.com/guide/guides/proxy-guide/iproyal.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
