# After delivery & credentials

The delivery message, the 48-hour window, taking over accounts, emails and phone numbers, payouts and stores.

<details>

<summary>What is in the delivery message?</summary>

Company and nominee name, banking system type and logins, 2FA backup codes, proxy details for each service, payment processor logins, PayPal rep contacts (HK) and the link to this guide. Example and checklist: [6. Delivery & acceptance](/guide/setup-steps/step-6-delivery.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>How long do I have to report a problem?</summary>

48 hours after delivery. If no issues are reported, the setup is automatically considered accepted.

</details>

<details>

<summary>When should I change the credentials to my own?</summary>

Within 3 weeks of delivery — bank accounts right after delivery, Stripe password and 2FA (gradually, 2–3 days apart) after the first payout, PayPal phone after the first sale. Never everything on the same day, and give a bank account at least a week after delivery before changing its phone number. Full table: [7. Take over credentials](/guide/setup-steps/step-7-credentials.md). After 3 weeks, lost access or OTP failures are your responsibility.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Which email and phone number should I use for the company's services?</summary>

* **One email per company** — e.g. `info@yourdomain.com` for the bank, PayPal, Stripe and Shopify Payments of that company. The same email can be used across several services, but never again for a service where the previous account on it was banned.
* **One phone number per company** — a dedicated virtual number ([Krispcall](https://try.krispcall.com/d0ye9ovwwn8s) for UK numbers) used for all services of that company. Never your personal number, and never the same number for two companies.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will I get access to the email accounts used for the setup?</summary>

No. The mailboxes Basiq creates to open the accounts (for example Zoho addresses) are not handed over — with occasional exceptions when a verification requires it. That is why credential takeover matters: move each service to your own email and phone within 3 weeks where the service allows it.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where do I find the 2FA key if I cannot scan the QR code?</summary>

On the screen that shows the QR code, choose **"Can't scan the code"** — the text key appears. Enter it in your authenticator app (or a service such as 2fa.live) to generate codes. Store the key and the backup codes from your delivery message in a password manager.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I change my Stripe email?</summary>

Never — the account will be flagged permanently. Do not change the password or 2FA device immediately after receiving the account either: after selfie verification, change the password first and 2FA 2–3 days later, and never change the password within 2 weeks of changing 2FA.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where do payouts go?</summary>

To your business bank (Airwallex / Wise / WorldFirst). Payouts are set to **Manual** from day one on every platform **except Shopify Payments**, which stays on **daily** payouts. Never send funds from the nominee account directly to your personal bank.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How long do you keep my access data?</summary>

Access data is not stored beyond 2 months after delivery. Save credentials and backup codes in a password manager on day one.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can my team access the accounts?</summary>

On Stripe, invite collaborators via Settings → Team — never share the login. On all platforms, access must come from the same [OctoBrowser](https://octobrowser.org/signup/?p=10266582) profile and proxy; a new device or IP region looks like an account takeover.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I run two stores on one company?</summary>

No. The rule is 1 company = 1 domain = 1 store. Running two or more stores under a single nominee company gets the stores flagged. For PayPal specifically: sell only through the store connected during account creation; after $30–50k total revenue you can add other stores. For a second business, take a second setup.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can you give me a virtual card to pay for Shopify or OctoBrowser subscriptions?</summary>

No, virtual cards are not provided. Pay subscriptions from your business bank account once it is delivered, or from a card of your own in the meantime.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I change the placeholder website?</summary>

Yes — but if you modify it after delivery in a way that violates platform policies, you bear full responsibility for the consequences. Keep policy pages and business details in place.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.basiq-solutions.com/help-center/faq/after-delivery.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
