# Start here

Read this page first. It explains how the guide works and what happens at each stage of your setup.

Welcome to Basiq. This guide takes you from your order to a working business infrastructure: a company, a business bank account and payment processors that let you **sell, receive money, pay your supplier and withdraw profit**. A setup is complete only when all four parts of that chain work.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Follow the steps in order and do not skip ahead.** Almost every account restriction we see comes from a step done out of order: wrong proxy, credentials changed too early, revenue grown too fast. Each page tells you what you do, what we do, and when you are done. Contact your manager only if something is still unclear after reading the relevant page.
{% endhint %}

## Your journey

    A[1. Order form, invoice and first payment] --> B[Company incorporated]
    B --> C[4. Documents and second payment]
    C --> D[5. Bank and payment setup]
    D --> E[6. Delivery of credentials]
    E --> F[7. Take over credentials within 3 weeks]
    F --> G[8. Warm-up 4 to 9 weeks]
    G --> H[Scale]
```
Steps 2 and 3 (phone numbers, proxy and [OctoBrowser](https://octobrowser.org/signup/?p=10266582)) are done by you while the company is being incorporated.
## Where are you now?
## Expected timelines
| Setup                                               | Delivery time      |
| --------------------------------------------------- | ------------------ |
| UK LTD (company + bank + Stripe + Shopify Payments) | 3–10 working days  |
| HK Bundle (company + PayPal + bank)                 | 7–14 working days  |
| US LLC                                              | 10–14 working days |
Timelines start from receipt of the first payment. Additional verification or third-party delays may extend them.
{% hint style="info" %}
**Cut-off rule:** setups paid on Thursday or later start the timeline from the following Monday.
{% endhint %}
## Three rules that prevent most problems
1. **Right proxy, every time.** Never open any account without the proxy and [OctoBrowser](https://octobrowser.org/signup/?p=10266582) profile set up for it ([3. Proxy & OctoBrowser](/guide/setup-steps/step-3-proxy.md)).
2. **Warm up before you scale.** Every processor has a schedule. Linear growth gets flagged ([8. Warm-up](/guide/setup-steps/step-8-warm-up.md)).
3. **Take over your credentials within 3 weeks of delivery.** After that, lost access is your responsibility ([7. Take over credentials](/guide/setup-steps/step-7-credentials.md)).
## How this guide is organised
* **Before you order** — what each setup includes, prices, payment terms, timelines and the referral program.
* **Your setup, step by step** — eight steps from order to warm-up. Each step says what you do, what we do and when you are done.
* **Guides (SOP library)** — start from [What do you need help with?](/guide/guides/help.md): bank guides (WorldFirst), proxy guides (GonzoProxy, a-socks, IPRoyal, OctoBrowser), review templates for each payment platform, and the warm-up procedures for Stripe, Shopify Payments and PayPal.
* **Policies & reference** — the Service Policy, replacement and verification rules, and a glossary.
## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.
Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:
```
GET https://help.basiq-solutions.com/guide/start-here.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```
`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
